The UIC Library will launch its newly redesigned Web site on July 4, 2009.
The Library utilized patron surveys and usability testing to design a site with easily scanned pages, simplified terminology, clear navigation, and a clean graphic appearance.

GIDEON is a global infectious diseases database that can be used as a diagnostic tool. It has information on over 300 diseases and over 200 countries. Updated weekly, GIDEON has four modules: diagnosis, epidemiology, therapy, and microbiology. It contains images, graphs, and interactive maps.
