How to Share Citations from CINAHL

Working on a group project and you need to use CINAHL?  Share your folder of citations in CINAHL with your group members.  In order to do this, you need to have a CINAHL account.  To create an account, click on the Sign Into Ebsco Host link at the top of CINAHL.  Here is how to share your folder in CINAHL:

  1. Go into CINAHL.  Click on the Sign into Ebsco Host link at the top of the screen to sign into your account.
  2. Click on the folder icon to create a custom folder in CINAHL.
  3. On the left side of the screen, click on New next to My Folder.  Give the folder a name then hit save.
  4. Run a search in CINAHL.  Click on the Add to Folder icon below each citation you want.
  5. After you have selected your citations, click on the folder icon on the top of the page.
  6. A list of your selected citations will appear.   Select all of your citations then click on the Move to button move them into the folder you created.
  7. On the left side of the screen, click on the plus sign next to the folder’s name.  The word, Share, will appear.  Click on Share.
  8. Enter the email addresses of the people you need to share the folder with.  You may also add a message, enter a new subject line, or use a passcode.  Leaving the Restrict Passcode to Single Use box unchecked means that each person will be sent a different passcode that can only be used once.  Unchecking the box means that everyone will get the same passcode.  EBSCO recommends that you send each person a different passcode for security reasons.
  9. Click on the Invite button at the bottom of the screen to share the folder with your group.
