The Health Workforce Information Center (HWIC) is a free online resource that has the latest news related to the health workforce. It has information on health workforce programs and funding sources, workforce data, and more. HWIC has a call center of information specialists that provides free assistance. There is a Nursing Occupations page with specific links to clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and more.
HWIC is operated by the Center for Rural Health at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences and funded by the Bureau of Health Professions, Health Resources and Services Administration, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
