UIC Library has changed its subscription of Cochrane to the Cochrane Library which is available through Wiley. Now there is no limit to the number of patrons accessing Cochrane at one time. The Cochrane Library has some new features:
- Cochrane Reviews can be browsed by topic.
- Overviews of Reviews-This new type of review gives an overview of multiple Cochrane intervention reviews, addressing the effects of two or more potential interventions for a single condition or health problem. See the first overview of reviews protocol – Interventions for neovascular age-related macular degeneration as an example.
- Podcasts-Audio summaries of selected reviews from the Cochrane Library.
Looking for the other Cochrane databases like DARE and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials? These are located on the Cochrane Library homepage in the Other Resources section. DARE is located under the Other Reviews section.
