This week the Surgeon General launched a free online health history tool, My Family Health Portrait. After the patients enter in their family histories, their information is organized into a “pedigree” family tree that can be downloaded onto their computer or a flash drive. This tool can be shared with relatives who can add their own histories. My Family Health Portrait is also compatible with several electronic health records systems.
