The California HealthCare Foundation has released a new report, Equipped for Efficiency: Improving Nursing Care Through Technology. This report is a successor to the 2002 publication, The Nursing Shortage: Can Technology Help? This report examines hospitals’ experiences with different types of devices and applications such as wireless communications, delivery robots, workflow management systems, wireless patient monitoring, and interactive patient systems. This report showed the positive effect using these systems have had for nurses and their work environment.
