How long have you been working at UIC?
I’ve been the Visiting Assistant Health Sciences Librarian at LHSU since January of 2007. Prior to that, I was a Graduate Assistant at LHSU from August 2005 to August 2006 while I finished my MLS.
When did you get your degree?
I earned my degree in August 2006 from the University of Illinois
Urbana-Champaign Graduate School of Library and Information Science.
Why did decide to become a librarian?
I enjoy working with people and helping them find what they need. It’s as simple as that.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Working with a staff dedicated to providing quality service.
What is your favorite blog or website?
This is a tough question…like what is your favorite book, movie, or
food? I think many people can produce lists rather than point to a
singular item that rises above the rest. I am one of those persons as well… I like boingboing.net, unshelved.com, davidrothman.net, gizmodo.com, etc. etc. etc.
What to do you like to do for fun?
Spend time with my wife, family, and in-laws, read, take photos, watch sports, help out on our family farm, learn new things, etc.
