Most of us know that CINAHL and MEDLINE are two databases to look at when you are doing research. But there may be another database to consider, PsycINFO. This database can be found in the Health Sciences Databases list. PsycINFO covers more than 1,500 journals, the majority being peer reviewed. It also provides citations to books, book chapters, and dissertations.
PsycINFO can be used when doing research on topics such as domestic violence, family issues, substance abuse, and parental, adolescent, or children’s views of death and dying, illness, surgery, etc. If you need help searching PsycINFO, please contact the reference desk.
