Maps Exhibit Opening Reception Set for December 11
The UIC Library is hosting a reception for the opening of its exhibit, Under Study: Maps and Photographs of Chicago’s Near West Side, on Tuesday, December 11, from 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM. The reception is open to the public and takes place in the Daley Library Special Collections Department (3rd floor south).
The Under Study exhibit is part of the city-wide Festival of Maps, in which 30 cultural and scientific institutions are collaborating to display maps, globes, artifacts, and artwork that show the evolving technology of wayfinding from ancient to modern times.
