Electronic journals temporarily removed from UICCAT August 5-17
Maintenance is continuing on UICCAT, the online catalog, and links to e-journals are temporarily unavailable. Until further notice, UICCAT will NOT display the full holdings of electronic journals. However, you can still find these journals online — by search and browse using a journal title, subject classification, or article citation — on the Library’s Journals, Newspapers & Magazines page . A complete overhaul of new links will be completed on Friday, August 17.
All of the library-licensed journals are still available online; only their catalog records are being changed. With this change, UICCAT will display active links stating, “Available to UIC users only” and after you click it will bring up a menu presenting your access links and detailed bibliographic holdings information. The Library will be able to refresh tens of thousands of active links automatically on a daily basis.
