Alert: ABI/INFORM database cancelled as of July 1
UPDATE: As of August 1, the Library has purchased the ABI/INFORM Global database. Access is now available.
FORMERLY: ABI/INFORM, the business and management database, has been cancelled as of July 1, 2007 for all libraries across Illinois. The action was a result of a budgetary reallocation by the Illinois State Library, which formerly subsidized the statewide license for ABI/INFORM. Unfortunately, the Library had no advance notice of this cancellation.
Comparable business and management information can be found in Business Source Elite. This database provides full text coverage for more than 1,100 scholarly business, management and economics journals, including nearly 450 peer-reviewed publications. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for over 1,750 journals. In comparison, ABI/INFORM provides indexing and abstracting, with selected full text, of approximately 1,300 business and management journals.
