Storytelling in the Caribbean - Sunday, November 5, 2006

The third of six Caribbean cultural events, Storytelling in the Caribbean: An Afternoon Showcasing Brer Anansi Folktales, will feature Flora Anderson Chestnut and music for children and adults by Nelson Gill.

“Caribbean Stories: The Art of Life” is funded by the Illinois Humanities Council to complement the 1,000-volume H.D. Carberry Collection of Caribbean Studies in the UIC Daley Library’s Special Collections Department. The series will continue with lectures, readings and discussions in November and December.
